Shell and Tube Heat Exchanger

Shell and tube Heat Exchanger operates based on three core principles: partition wall counter-current heat exchange, tube-shell dual chamber isolation, and turbulent enhanced heat transfer. Composed of shell, tube sheet, heat exchange tube bundle, heads and baffle plates, it forms two independent flow channels: one medium flows inside the tube bundle (tube side), the other flows reversely in the shell space outside the tube bundle (shell side). The two media are completely isolated and exchange heat efficiently only through metal tube walls to complete heating, cooling, condensation, waste heat recovery and other processes. With solid structure, stable pressure bearing, high temperature and corrosion resistance, large flow rate, it is a mainstream industrial heat exchange equipment certified by China Standardization Administration. 2. Working Principle & Structural Features

Shell and tube heat exchanger adopts fixed tube sheet, floating head, U-tube and other mature structures, with cold and hot media completely isolated without cross-contamination. Tube side for high-temperature gas/steam/liquid, shell side for cooling water/refrigerant/air; baffle plates force shell-side fluid to flow in S-shaped turbulence, greatly improving heat transfer efficiency. Made of 316L stainless steel, the equipment resists acid, alkali and chloride ion, high temperature resistant, hygienic and easy to clean, suitable for non-toxic, non-explosive, clean or low-corrosive media. AIX products are Class I pressure vessels with high structural strength, stable operation and simple maintenance. Single/multi-tube pass, single/multi-shell pass can be selected according to working conditions, supporting vertical/horizontal installation to meet heating, cooling, condensation, waste heat recovery and other process requirements.

5. Manufacturing Process & Quality Control

AIX Boiler implements full-process strict quality control for shell and tube heat exchangers: 1) Material control: selecting genuine 316L/304 stainless steel plates and seamless tubes with material certificates and re-inspection reports; 2) Precision processing: CNC drilling for tube sheets with high aperture accuracy and uniform tube bundle arrangement; 3) Tube expansion and welding: hydraulic expansion + argon arc welding for leak-free and high-strength bonding; 4) Baffle assembly: precise positioning and firm support to improve shell-side turbulence and heat transfer efficiency; 5) Pressure test: hydrostatic test and air tightness test item by item before delivery; 6) Surface treatment: internal & external polishing/pickling passivation to improve corrosion resistance and hygiene level; 7) NDT: 20% X-ray inspection for each weld joint of Class A & B, no less than 250mm, qualified per NB/T47013.1~5-2015 AB Grade III; 8) Penetration test: kerosene leak test after welding, no leakage qualified, surface NDT Level I qualified for the last circumferential weld of jacket cylinder and upper ring. Each equipment provides certificates, test reports and completion data to meet safety, environmental protection and food hygiene acceptance requirements.
